Some fun events

Hello all,

I have been absent from the bloggy blog world lately. I have not been in the blogging mood. Anyways, I went to a couple of fun events the past two weeks and here are some pictures that I thought I would share.

First off, the band I illustrate posters for, Moonalice opened up for U2 along with Lenny Kravitz. How cool is that? Hubby and I went and we had a blast.

Here are some pics from the show.


The lovely Ann Anatomic from Moonalice rocking the stage. They played a great set and sounded awesome! The sunlight that was shining down then, was harsh on the screen...oof.


Then Lenny Kravitz's turn! :) Notice our seating section...not a soul DIRECTLY in front of us! That is because hubby and I grabbed a spot on the baseball diamond fence so there would be nobody directly in front of us and we could see. :) We were so HAPPY and LOVED our seats (ahem, I mean standing seats lol)! Plus, since it was a standing room only section we could sit down on our blankie and sit against the fence in between bands to rest our feet. :)


Then U2.....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! :)




U2 played an amazing show!!! Their stage set up was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Best concert I have ever been to, besides seeing Pink Floyd there in 1994. :)

Then a week and half later, hubby and I went to the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Festival. I was super excited to go to this cause I LOVE LOVE LOVE hot air balloons and have been to the amazing one in New Mexico. So here are a few pics.




Here is the dawn patrol at 5AM. Yes, I was on the field at 5AM and though it was not as fabulous as I had pictured, it was still fun and very surreal being up that early. :)


My favorite balloon of them all was Sushi, piloted by Katie Griggs from Nevada. :)

Some of the awesome balloons all blown up ready for take off! The only problem was the dreaded fog decided to pay Windsor a visit that day and the balloons could not launch....booooooo. So they deflated and hubby and I left. We still had fun and spent the rest of the day wandering around Healdsburg and visiting my great aunt, which was time very well spent. :)
